Services
Two services, with the boundaries stated up front
Everything below is educational work on research process and method. Neither service includes securities recommendations, and neither produces a "buy" or "sell" conclusion. If that is what you are looking for, this page will save you the time of asking.
UO Solutions, LLC is not a registered investment adviser, broker-dealer, or tax professional. Paid work is limited to research method and process. You keep full responsibility for every investment decision you make.
Service 1 — Research process consultation
A one-on-one working engagement focused on how you use AI tools when researching US-listed companies. We review your current workflow, identify where unverified AI output is entering your decisions, and document a revised process with explicit verification checkpoints.
This is for you if
- You already read company filings and use at least one AI tool, but you are not sure how much of its output you can trust.
- You want a repeatable process you can run yourself, not an ongoing relationship.
- You are willing to show your actual working method, including the messy parts.
This is not for you if
- You want stock picks, portfolio review, or a second opinion on a position you hold. We decline these requests.
- You have never opened a 10-K and want to start from zero. Our free articles are the right starting point; a paid session would waste your money.
What you provide
A short written description of your current process: which tools you use, what you ask them, and a recent example of a research task you ran. Screenshots of prompts and outputs help. You do not need to share account details, holdings, or anything you consider private, and we will not ask.
How it works
- Written scopeAfter your inquiry, we reply within two business days with either a proposed scope or a clear decline. Scope, deliverables, and price are fixed in writing before any payment.
- Process reviewOne working session (video, about 90 minutes) walking through your method against the failure patterns we see most often.
- Written process documentWithin five business days of the session, you receive a documented workflow: where AI is safe to use in your process, where it is not, and the specific checks to run before trusting its output.
Deliverable: the written process document plus a marked-up version of your original workflow. Timing: typically completed within two weeks of scope agreement. Included: the session, the document, one round of follow-up questions by email. Not included: analysis of specific securities, ongoing support, or any form of advice on what to buy or sell.
Service 2 — Method-first company research brief
A written brief on a single US-listed company, built entirely from public filings and official sources, with every figure traced to its source document and page. The brief shows its work: you can check every number against EDGAR yourself. It is a research document, not a recommendation, and it contains no price target and no conclusion about what you should do.
Best suited for investors who want a verified factual base on one company — business segments, revenue composition, stated risk factors, capital structure — before doing their own analysis. Not suited for anyone who wants a verdict. If you find yourself hoping the brief ends with "so it's a buy," this service will frustrate you, and we would rather say that now.
Process: scope call or email exchange, written scope, delivery in ten business days, one revision round for factual corrections. Limit: one company per brief; industries we cannot source adequately from public filings are declined at the scope stage.
Requests we decline, in writing, every time
- "Just tell me if I should buy X." — investment advice; we are not registered to give it and we do not give it informally either.
- Portfolio reviews, rebalancing input, or opinions on positions you already hold.
- Anything involving options, crypto, forex, or securities not listed on major US exchanges.
- Tax, legal, or retirement-planning questions.
- Work where payment depends on an investment outcome. We charge for process work, never for results, because results are not ours to promise.
How pricing works
We do not publish a fixed price list. The two services vary enough in scope that a single number on this page would mislead more than it would inform. Instead, every engagement is quoted individually, in writing, before any work begins, and the quote is driven by variables we can state honestly:
| Variable | Why it changes the price |
|---|---|
| Number of tools in your workflow | Each tool needs its output patterns reviewed separately; three tools is materially more work than one. |
| Session-based vs. document-only | A live working session plus written document costs more than a written brief alone. |
| Existing documentation | If your current process is already written down, review time drops. If it exists only in your head, we spend the first session extracting it. |
| Company complexity (briefs) | A single-segment company takes less source work than a conglomerate filing in four segments and three currencies. |
Two commitments apply regardless of the final numbers: you approve scope and price in writing before any payment, and payment never depends on investment outcomes.
